Jurispedia:Protected page guidelines
From Jurispedia
Protected pages are pages that have been locked from editing by ordiary users. Only an administrator can protect or unprotect a page or edit the page once it is protected.
The following guidelines concern protected pages:
- Pages should only be protected when there is a good reason to do so. For example:
- The page contains important information that should not be changed.
- The page is a copy of legal information that is a condition of use of Jurispedia, such as copyright and disclaimers.
- The page has been subjected to (repeated) malicious editing, such as posting spam.
- Protected pages have been protected for a reason, they should only be edited or unprotected when there is a good reason to do so.
- The information is incorrect and needs to be corrected.
- The information is no longer relevant.
- The page is no longer the subject of malicious editing, or is protected in other ways.
- This list is not exhaustive and only gives typical reasons for protecting a page. The reason for protecting a page should be explained on the talk page, when the page is protected. The talk page should not be protected, to permit discussions about the protected page, and the reasons for protection.
