The Counsel General for Wales is the legal advisor to the Welsh Assembly Government who advises in Welsh legal matters, he advises the government on what laws to pass and what areas of law the Assembly needs to request from the UK Parliament in order to draft legislation. At the moment the Counsel General is Carwyn Jones AM.
